The Wicklow Way
is a long Distance Way marked walk that starts in Marlay Park in Rathfarnham on the outskirts of Dublin City finishes in the Village of Clonegal, Co. Carlow.
The Walk passes through the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains and gives the walker a vast array of differing Mountain scenery.
We offer 4, 6 and 8 day fully supported self-guided tours of the Wicklow. If you wish to include extra days as rest days or to pursue other activities in the areas you will be visiting on any of our tours, please email us with your requirements and we will provide you with a customized price.
The following is included in the tour price:
· Accommodation as outlined in tour itinerary.
· Advice on local entertainment, pubs and restaurants.
· All transfers including your luggage between accommodation and start/finish of walks.
· Packed lunch and fruit for each days walk.
· Phone numbers, notes, maps and route description for each days walk.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Marlay Park to Knockree
Marlay Park – Whitechurch Bridge – Kilmashogue lane – Tibradden Forest – Glencullen Road – Glencullen Forest – Curtlestown – Knockree Boreen Take public transport to Marlay Park North gate where we will meet you and relieve you of your luggage. Taking the trail out the back of the park to a roundabout and under the M50 Motorway. You will start to see Three Rock Mountain identifiable by all the transmitter masts and Fairy Castle Mountain. It wont be too long before you will have forgotten the madness of the M50 and start to appreciate the unfolding beauty of the countryside around you. The village of Glencullen comes into view before the way drops down from the shoulder of Fairy castle to Tibradden Forest before reaching the Glencullen road. The way then passes into and up through Glencullen Forest contouring around Prince Williams Seat where the Tonduffs, Maulin and the Majesty of Djouce should be coming into view. You will eventually hit tarmac and turn right then left at a junction which will bring you to a Forest car park where we will meet you and transfer to your B&B accommodation nearby.

Day 2 - Knockree to Roundwood
Knockree – Crone wood – Shoulder of Djouce Mountain – White Hill – Luggala car park – Sleamaine – Ballinrush – Lake Park Crossroads – Roundwood 23kms of magical walking. Faboulous views of Powerscourt Waterfall, Lough Tay and the Guinness Estate House, Lough Dan to name just a few.
You will also pass by a memorial to the J.B. Malone, the Legendary Walker who designed, devised and founded the Wicklow Way. B&B accommodation in Roundwood.

Day 3 - Roundwood to Glendalough
Roundwood – Oldbridge – Brusher Gate Boreen – Paddock Hill – Forest- Glenmacnass Forest – Cross Military Road – Mass Path to Laragh – Laragh to Glendalough A short but lovely walk and when you arrive in Glendalough, you will have the opportunity to visit the Visitors Centre and the Monastic City before we collect you and transfer to your B&B.

Day 4 - Glendalough to Aughavannagh
Glendalough – Derrybawn forest – Mullacor – Ballinafunshoge – Coolalingo Bridge – Drumgoff Crossroads – Slieve Maan Forest – Carrickashane Mountain – Iron Bridge A long day but you will have just walked through some of the best scenery in Wicklow. We will collect you from the Iron Bridge and take you to your B&B in County Wicklow.

Day 5 - Iron Bridge to Tinahely
Iron Bridge – Ballyteigue - Shielstown Forest – Slieve Mweel Forest – Moyne – Ballycumber North – Ballycumber South – Coolafunshoge – Curravanish. Another long day but no really steep climbs with tremendous views all the way from Lug to the Blackstairs Mountains. Transfer from Curravanish near Tinahely to B&B in County Wicklow.

Day 6 - Tinahely to Raheenakitt Junction near Shillaleagh
Curravanish – Muskeagh – Mullinacuff – Stranakelly – Kilquiggan – Boley Junction – Raheenakitt Junction The dramatic mountains that you passed through in the Middle of Wicklow Mountain Range now start to give way to lower gentler rolling hillsides although the scenery is still very pleasing to the eye. Pick up at Raheenakitt Junction and transfer to B&B accommodation in County Wicklow.

Day 7 - Raheenakitt to Clonegal
Transfer from your B&B to the start of the walk. Your final day will take you into the third County of your trip. Co. Carlow. From Raheenakitt junction, you will walk some tarmac and enter Raheenakitt Forest passing between Raheenakitt hill and Aghowle before more tarmac will bring you into forest passing under Moylisha hill and through Newry Forest before emerging once more on to tarmac which is followed to the end of the day and the end of the Way in Clonegal Village. We meet you here and transfer you to your B&B accommodation in County Wicklow and a well-earned rest.

Day 7 - Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, we will transfer you to Rathdrum or Bray Train Stations.
