RATHDRUM TO AVONDALE WALK

Start your walk in Rathdrum and enjoy its surprising history and heritage. See the Square where many of the scenes from the film Michael Collins starring Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts were filmed. Walk through Famine Graveyard where thousands of people were buried. Walk through beautiful Ballygannon Woods, along the Avonmore River, picnic in the grounds of Avondale House, home of Coillte and Ireland’s uncrowned king - Charles Stewart Parnell.

on the Laragh to Glendalough Road, Rathdrum
