This is one tour where the only walking you will be doing will be from coach to the pub and back again - four times, although you may wish to do a jig or two if the trad music takes your fancy!

We will stop off at four Irish country pubs in the area. You will hear about the history and folklore attached to each place you visit; smell the woodsmoke from the fire inside, anticipate your favourite tipple and sample the atmosphere of each place you visit. Experience the craic, the stories, and traditional Irish music as you go. Stop off for a heartwarming meal of Irish Stew with brown soda bread and a glass of Guinness in Fitzgerald's Pub, Avoca (of Ballykissangel fame).

Although it has undergone a transformation during Celtic Tiger Ireland many traditional Irish pubs still remain. Short for public house, the Irish pub was the haven of the working class in Ireland for centuries. While 'private houses' were restricted to a select few, it was the pub that the working class Irish flocked to for fun & social interaction. It was both the hub of the community as well as a social outlet and countries worldwide have tried to replicate its character and success.
