About Us?

This family business is owned by Paula and Tony Kelly, a husband and wife team who first met in 1996 during the filming of Ballykissangel in the village of Avoca. Tony's passion for the area's history and his family geneology which he can trace in the area for 300 years, inspired him to awaken in the world an awareness and wonderment for County Wicklow which is a rural retreat for Irish city dwellers and tourists alike.

Walking through Wicklow, whether it is a 4 hour hike, a coastal walk; or a stroll through Glendalough, is Paula and Tony's way of ensuring you spend your time in Ireland experiencing the people, the place and the heritage which makes this tiny island with its worldwide diaspora what it is. For those who don't want to physically walk, they can walk through the history and heritage through the ancient recollection and demonstrations in the activities Avoca Tours offers.
